Well, from what Wikipedia and Google understands, Pythagoras wasn't very much of a thinker. He was a very scientific man, but did not believe science was for the masses. He believed only the elites from Halo and Halo 2 should know about science and rather than apply it, simply think about it. It can be argued that this way of thinking, and the followers it inspired (Pythagarians) lead to the dominance of the church and theist worldviews. Perhaps if Pythagoras had supported teaching science to the masses,rather than Elites, religion would have soon died out altogether, in favor of the scientific process and many other glamorous things.
